The device is currently being pushed through the Chinese certification and regulatory authority TENAA, so it look as though we can expect to see it released early next year. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 didn't see an official release in the US, and you can expect the same to happen with the Note 2 Pro. If you want to pick one up, you will have to do so online.

Rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will come in at about 1099 CNY, which works out at US$172, providing an affordable device in line with its predecessor.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 packed a decent punch. and the Note 2 Pro will do, too, as the TENAA listing revealed that it has the exact same specs as the original device. For your money, you get a MT6795 Helio X10 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, a 13-MP rear and 5-MP front-facing camera, and a 3060-mAh battery.
The metal design means it is marginally thicker than the Note 2 and will weigh a bit more, too, at 165 grams. It comes with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The Xiamo Redmi Note 2 Pro will be the first Xiaomi device to wear a sleek all-metal case and the first also to have fingerprint recognition, as confirmed via the TENAA listing.
