Motorola to launch Moto G Turbo Edition in India today

Unknown
New Delhi: Having teased the Turbo Edition of the Moto G smartphone for a couple of days, Motorola has finally announced that it is launching the new variant of its affordable smartphone on December 10.

While the yet-to-introduced model bears same specifications as the regular Moto G, it includes TurboPower that is claimed to help the phone get up to 6 hours of energy in just 15 minutes of charging.

Motorola has already launched the Moto G Turbo Edition in Mexico at around $275 (roughly translates to Rs 185,00). While the company is yet to reveal the price for the Indian market, we expect it to be priced around Rs 15,000. The regular edition of the phone carries a price tag of Rs 11,999.

Given that we already have the Moto X Play (with specs better than the Moto G) at a price point of Rs 18,500, Motorola needs to get its pricing right for the Turbo Edition.

Motorola, in July, introduced the third-generation of the Moto G smartphone. It comes in two variants - 8 GB storage with 1 GB RAM at Rs 11,999 and 16 GB storage with 2 GB RAM at Rs 12,999. The third-gen Moto G is water resistant and has been designed to withstand immersion in up to 3 feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, provided the back cover is properly sealed.
