LG G2, LG G3 and LG G4 To Get Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Instead Of 5.1.1 Lollipop

Unknown

If the surfaced rumors are true, it seems that LG has intentionally left out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. The manufacturer prefers to sit tight and wait for the Android M update. So if you’re curious to see what will happen, check out the scoop on the latest Lollipop update release for LG phones down below.

Apparently, LG is headstrong on eschewing the Android Lollipop. Remember when Android KitaKat 4.4.4 rolled out? LG decided to skip that one too. The manufacturer has been very sluggish in terms of releasing updates to its devices. And as proof, stands the LG G4 and LG G3 devices that are currently on Android Lollipop. And let’s not forget that the LG G2 just got updated with Android 5.0 Lollipop. And even if there were various rumors claiming that the latter gizmos received the Android Lollipop, this never happened.

We can say for sure that the G4 and G3 devices will continue to receive such updates, but the G2’s future doesn’t look as bright. Some believe that LG will continue supporting the LG G2 while other beliefs aren’t as optimistic. According to a report issued by GSMArena, the LG G2 will definitely receive the Android latest Lollipop update. This tip-off was blurred out by someone in the LG staff, however no launch dates were confirmed, so users are still waiting.

Android Marshmallow might be runner up for LG devices?

Google finally unveiled the final version of the Android M developer edition. So, now it is only a matter of time before the new OS will be out and about. However, consumers will have to hang in there because this rollout will happen gradually. This brand new operating system will also deliver support for Android Pay and a USB Type-C plus other major enhancements to the various Android elements. So, LG might just wait for the next big thing, in this case the Android M rollout.
