Xiaomi Mi 5 Release Date Pushed to November – Top Features and Specs

The Xioami Mi 5 device was said to roll out in July and when that did not happen, voices claimed that the big launch has been postponed for the month of September. Well, as you might have guessed already, that didn’t happen either. And of course, November is now presumed to be the launch date for the Xiaomi Mi 5.
WCCF Tech stands by the idea that the Xiaomi Mi will roll out in November, the latter source also quotes other sources from Beijing to back-up its allegations. And this might be a possibility since the rollout of the Mi 4C device happened a few days back. So, it’s only natural to wait for its successor.


Xiaomi Mi 5: Features and specs

According to hearsays, the device will have a 5.2inch QHD touchscreen with 2560×1440 pixels screen resolution and it will also be shielded by Gorilla Glass 4. Multiple reports state that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will house either a Snapdragon 810 or a Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood. The latter processor will be running at 1.8GHz and as far as OS, Android Lollipop will be in charge. According to WCCF Tech, the company might go with the Snapdragon 810 processor, a choice that might embitter various fans.

The smartphone will also rock a 16MP camera snapper that will include OIS and a dual-LED flash. The second camera unit will be a 5MP one while the battery will be a 3000mAh one. Xiaomi Mi 5 will have 4GB of RAM as well, it will contain the fingerprint sensor and the price sticker for this handset will be marked at a higher price of $399. So, this upcoming Xiaomi handset is expected to roll out with enhanced features and surpass its sibling, the Xiaomi Mi 4. The previous Xiaomi device has a 5inch IPS LCD touchscreen with 1080×1920 pixels, under the hood it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and it runs Android KitKat. The device has 3GB of RAM, a 13MP main snapper and an 8MP front one. As for the battery, it has a 3,080Li-Ion non-detachable one.
