Upcoming LeTV Max Pro breaks AnTuTu records, racy renders also crop up

Unknown

Have you decided which of the oft-rumored H1 2016 Android heavyweights are you most excited about? The Galaxy S7 is probably at the top of many wish lists already, likely followed by the HTC “Perfume”, LG G5, Sony Xperia Z6, and Xiaomi Mi 5.
Meanwhile, despite amazing early progresses in its homeland, China’s LeTV remains a far too obscure brand to the ears of Westerners, so the Max Pro may face an uphill struggle in its attempt to garner a truly global audience.
Then again, with near-guaranteed state-of-the-art specs like Snapdragon 820 processing power, 4GB RAM, a 21MP rear-facing camera, and 5.5-inch Quad HD display, as well as a presumably “reasonable” price tag, the smartphone rookie’s next-gen flagship can’t go unnoticed for long.
Especially if it looks as a fresh duo of leaked renders suggests, with a super-slim profile, premium all-metal construction, clean as a whistle back cover, and subtle vertical curve around the bottom part of the handheld’s “face.” Kind of like a chin, exactly, but a distinguished one, which might house a glass-embedded Qualcomm 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Alas, there’s no way to verify the authenticity of the two titillating images, and since we’re left with this eerie fan-made concept impression, we’ll just file them under beautiful yet unlikely guesses.letv-max-pro-2

The same cannot be said about record-breaking AnTuTu performance scores, confirmed by the popular benchmark tool’s social media handlers. Before getting psyched out of your minds though, let us underline this is AnTuTu version 6.0 we’re dealing with, where the 133,000+ tally only marginally beats the 123,000 or so mark of the iPhone 6s.
Still, the Snapdragon 820 chip inside the LeTV Max Pro crushes the Kirin 950 or Exynos 7420, also gaining a good 65 percent muscle mass over the SD810.
